This lovely stone country house is situated on the hillside at the edge of a small village with spectacular views across to the mountains. The village must have the best views in Lunigiana. There is a terrace where you can sit and enjoy the stunning views, as well as a garden and vineyards to wander in. Just above the house is a large swimming pool surrounded by a panoramic area for sunbathing. You can walk to a shop and a bar. From £695 to £1555 per week. Sleeps 10+2 (+annex for 4). |

LA CASETTA Prota - Sleeps2+2
La Casetta is a little stone-built Tuscan cottage in the same group as La Taverna. Completely separate from the others it is a perfect hideaway with all modern conveniences and spectacular views from all the rooms and the portico-covered terrace. At the end of the small garden there are steps down to the large pool. A shop, bar and restaurant are only a couple of minutes walk away. |

LA TAVERNA Prota - Sleeps 2+1
La Taverna is a very special small property sharing a pool with three other houses. Completely made of stone it seems as though it is carved out of the rock. The kitchen area in the main room has an ancient marble sink, though modern plumbing! Set into a corner of the stone wall in the bedroom is a luxurious spa bath. There is also a bathroom with a spacious shower. The living room opens onto a walled courtyard, while the bedroom has its own private garden. A few steps away is the large pool with wonderful views over the hills. It is set in a friendly village with a shop, bar and restaurant only a couple of minutes walk away. |

La Vista is set in an ancient village high above the Taverone valley, another one of those in the collection of four newly converted houses set on a hillside with stupendous views. You can gaze across to the beautiful pool from the terrace to he hills beyond. It is a converted cottage with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, in the heart of the village, which boasts a shop, bar and excellent restaurant - all within 3 minutes' walk. |

IL GERANEO Prota - Sleeps 6+
Il Geraneo, a spacious family house, has the convenience of being in this beautiful old village with all its amenities, and having views out across the hills. The large (10mx5m) pool is shared with the other houses in the group, and you can also sit out quietly on the extensive private terrace or in the beautiful shady courtyard at the front. After entering through the stone-flagged courtyard with an ancient pizza oven, the lovely old entrance hall leads through to two bedrooms and a bathroom. The upstairs has dramatic soaring beamed ceilings. From the stylish living room french windows lead straight out onto the large terrace. The main bedroom has a bathroom area in gorgeous blue tiles with a spa bath from which you gaze out across the valley. |

While it doesn't have a pool, its location right next to the river makes it ideal for a family holiday. This delightful old mill building has been completely restored and is situated in its own land overlooking the attractive stony river, with natural pools for bathing. You can eat under the vine-clad pergola, bathe in the waterfall above. A comfortable home with three good-sized bedrooms, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Although it is only 10 km from the sea, it is high enough into the foothills of the Apuan Alps to provide cool temperatures in summer, beautiful colours in autumn and heavily-scented flowers in spring. There is a lovely garden and a swimming-pool. A walk down the lane brings you the village of Pieve, with two bar/pizzerias and a shop. Ideal for a family holiday. |
