This lovely golden stone house stands in its own grounds in a private and peaceful position not far from the old town of Villafranca. A family home for most of the year, it is decorated with paintings by the owner.

It has a spacious living room, a well-equipped kitchen (the owners live here during the winter), 3 good bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
There is also a 'taverna' with a sofabed - an extra summer bedroom accessible from the outside. Ideal for older children, etc. This allows 8 people to sleep comfortably at the villa.

It is set in woodland and looks out across a valley to the Ligurian hills beyond.. The garden is often is often visited by deer and porcupines in the night and early morning.

Only three or four minutes drive down the lane is a good supermarket on the main road leading into the old town of Villafranca, where you can find a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. It also has train station with trains to Parma, Pisa and Florence.

It is just over half an hour from the coast at Lerici, a lovely old fishing port, from where you can catch the boat to the Cinque Terre - old fishing villages which were only accessible by boat until recent years.

This is a comfortable family house in the Italian countryside, only 5 minutes from from shops and restaurants,
