This charming stone cottage is immersed in the heart of the beautiful Chianti
region, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and mature trees at
500 metres, situated tranquilly on a site with long views
overlooking the Val d'Arbia and the distant Appenines.
Completely independent and private, the building consists of an old
stone barn and a modern addition which have been recently and lovingly
restored by its English/Italian architect owners.
The
two-storey addition is entered at the upper entrance level with a bright double
bedroom and ensuite bathroom (with bath). A flight of wide stairs
leads down to a twin bedroom with ensuite shower bathroom in the old barn,
and on the ground floor to a cosy living-room with tv from which french
windows give onto the garden and pool. Up two steps is the kitchen
and dining area (oven, cooker, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, toaster and microwave), connected to
a laundry-room with a washing machine, sink, iron and vacuum cleaner.
The house is
organized for outdoor summer living with a pergola-shaded terrace for eating
out (6 chairs and table) overlooking the pool (5 x 9, depth
1.30/2.10) with its own solarium and deck chairs.
The
house is reached by its own private access road, 100 metres
of which is unpaved on a
slight uphill slope, fine for normal vehicles but less so for low-clearance
sports cars
