Hello Italy and Undiscovered Tuscany

Villa Il Poggino is located in one of the most beautiful part of the Tuscan countryside, on the borders of the “Crete Senesi”, between Buonconvento and Monteroni d’Arbia, on top of a hill from where the view is simply magical.
An avenue of cypress leads to this elegantly restored Tuscan farmhouse, furnished with great taste and attention to the details making a perfect combination of the antique elements with the modern comforts.

The ground floor of the house, originally for the animals, now has a spacious living/dining room with fireplace and two doors out to the grounds. An arch divides the dining room from the well equipped country style kitchen area. The kitchen has a range-style cooker, big fridge with freezer and ice maker, dishwasher, deep-fryer, electric plate and grill.
French doors open out onto the covered loggia with a pizza oven. This beautiful covered loggia provides shady place, furnished with table and chairs for lunch and “al fresco” dinners with amazing views over the Tuscan hills. Some stairs from the covered loggia, leads to a large terrace, ideal solarium and from there to the laundry room.

On the ground floor there is also a tv room with satellite tv, a pink double bedroom with ensuite shower bathroom and a blue double bedroom (twin on request) with ensuite shower bathroom. On request, a single bedroom with ensuite shower bathroom and door out to the garden, can be opened.

A marble staircase up to the first floor, where we find a corridor from which you can access all the four double bedrooms and a breakfast kitchen.
Every bedroom has a different colour, blue, yellow or pink, ensuite shower bathroom and queen size beds. An external staircase from the corridor on the first floor, leads to the garden.

The house is surrounded by a large expanse of lawn where the swimming pool is located, in sunny panoramic position. The pool (8 x 6 mts – 1.5 mts deep) is exclusive for the guests, and it’s open from April to October.

The house preserves every bit of its rustic atmosphere, but with the addition of all those little “luxuries” like air conditioning and internet connection.

On request, clients can have breakfast and dinner by the restaurant of the Estate, located near the castle of the owner, about 1.5 km from the villa.

The nearest village is Ponte d’Arbia, 2 kms away, where you can find a bar, a grocer and a restaurant. In Buonconvento, just 3 kms from Ponte d’Arbia, there are restaurants, bars, many kind of shops, supermarket and railway station. Siena is just 23 kms away from the villa.
