This X1X century villa with its ancient tower style has been completely restored and dominates the gulf of Gaeta on one side and the Mediterranean on the other. Set on a hill above the ancient town of Gaeta, Villa Celina is set in delightful private gardens of fruit trees and tropical plants.

Steps from the garden lead up to the large terrace which has seats built into the half walls with cushions and overlooks the spectacular view of the long beach at the front and the mountains to the rear of the property. On this level there is bathroom 1 with shower, hall, and the living/dining room that is attractively furnished. An archway and two steps lead through to the galley-style kitchen which although small has a full oven, fridge, plenty of cupboards and working top. The door from the kitchen opens to another terrace with large sun umbrella and table and chairs for outdoor dining. This terrace also overlooks the stunning view and has steps down to the garden level.

On the First floor there is a single or it can be a twin-bedded room and a double room with en suite bathroom and door to a small terrace. At the garden level and reached via the outside steps from the large front terrace is a twin bedded room and another bathroom with shower.

The access to the house is up a steep hill with a sharp turn into fairly narrow entrance gates.into the garden - more suitable for small cars. With a large car you might prefer to only park at the entrance to the house to unload the luggage and then park the car just below the house.

It is possible to walk into the town of Gaeta and to the beach in about 12 – 15 minutes but it will take a little longer on the way back as it is up hill! There seems to be plenty of parking near the beach. Among its beaches is Serapo’s beach , 1km long, which was the background scene for the Oscar prize winning film “Il Postino”.

Gaeta is an interesting town around the old port having three lovely churches, restaurants and bars. There are also more shops in the newer part of the town which stretches along the sea front.

3 double/twin bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 large terraces, garden, living/dining room and kitchen.

Gaeta is in an ideal location for visiting Rome and Naples as there is a good train service from Formia station which is only 25 minutes drive away or you can take a bus. It takes just under 1 hour to the centre of Rome and about the same to Naples. There are other beach resorts such as Sperlonga to explore. For those who like walking it would be possible to stay here without a car.
